About Us

Mission Statement
Richard Gordon Elementary's mission is to assure high levels of learning for all students.
School Information
Gordon is a large building with a student population of approximately 462 students. Even though we are a sizable school, the school does not seem overly large because of the design which allows children to work in age level pods.

Gordon opened in 1994 and has received awards for its architectural design. Besides the classrooms, the school features a library, computer lab, music room, gymnasium, multi-purpose room and newly constructed outdoor classroom.

The school is situated on a 24-acre site with a view of the Olympic Mountains. Woods and a natural wetland surround the building and can be accessed for outdoor studies. Gordon is a school of high expectations for both students and staff. We pride ourselves in the well-rounded program we provide to our students in all academic areas including the arts.

We provide programs that meet the needs of all of our learners. Our commitment to this is evident through the creative use of staffing to meet these needs. We feel that we can only be successful if we act as partners with our parents and community on a daily basis.
