April 22 is Earth Day!   Hello Earth citizens, Earthlings, and fellow explorers! In celebration of our planet, please choose one question and have a family discussion: What is environment? Do we have a responsibility to keep our environment healthy? How can we help make our environment cleaner?   To help enrich your discussion, I selected some materials to explore: Watch Mrs. Taylor read aloud 10 Little Rubber Ducks by Eric Carle and learn the story behind it. Join our Weekly Zoom Library Time on Friday, Apr 30 at 01:00pm! Students will share what they learned from your family discussion about Earth Day and listen to me read 10 Things I Can Do to Help My World: Fun and Easy Eco-Tips by M. Walsh    Contact me for the Zoo invite!                Watch Scholastic’s rendition of The Curious Garden by P. Brown. (Contact me for the BookFlix login) That’s it for this week! Don’t forget to spend time outdoors!   Before I go 😊, to answer the question that circled back to me via Ms. Bastiani: Q: is the library open for checkouts? A: no, the library is not open. We will reopen as soon as Stay Home Stay Healthy order is lifted. Until then please enjoy our digital books: NKSD Elementary Resources   Your friendly Librarian, Mrs. Taylor  Gordon Elementary Library
